World Bank Appoints New Country Director for Georgia

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, August 9, 2002) – Donna Dowsett-Coirolo is being appointed Country Director for Georgia and will be leading the South Caucasus Country Unit in the World Bank’s Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Region, the World Bank Tbilisi Office reports.

The new Country Director for Georgia will assume her responsibilities on September 1, 2002.  She replaces Judy O’Connor.

The South Caucasus Country Unit is responsible for Bank activities in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
