Opposition Parties Agree on Joint Activities

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, August 19, 2002) – Three opposition political parties the United Democrats, National-Democratic Party and the Traditionalists signed a declaration on August 19 pledge for the joint activity on certain issues.

According to the declaration the parties create a coordination council, which will aim preventing criminalization processes encouraged by the government.

Zurab Zhvania, leader of the United Democrats said at the signing ceremony that the fact of creating of the coordination council does not mean unification of these parties.
