FBI Involved in Investigation of Murder of AES-Telasi Financial Manager

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, August 21, 2002) – Garry Levesley, Vice-President of the American energy distributing company AES, who visits Tbilisi concerning the murder of the AES-Telasi financial manager Nika Lominadze, stated on August 20, that the FBI will be involved in the investigation of the case.

Financial manager of the AES-Telasi, American company, which distributes electricity in Georgian capital, was found dead in his apartment in Tbilisi on August 14. Nika Lominadze was killed with one gunshot in his head.

“Lominadze held one of the highest positions in the company and his murder is definitely linked to his activity in the company,” Garry Levesley stated at the news conference on August 20.
