Russian MFA Meets South Ossetia Official

(Tbilisi, August 31 2002, Civil Georgia) – Vladimir Loshinin, first deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation, met Eduard Kokoev, president of self-declared republic of South Ossetia, breakaway region in Georgia, press service of Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry reports.

Loshinin and Kokoev spoke about the situation existing in South Ossetia and perspectives of settling the conflict through peaceful meanings.

Kokoev, Russian citizen, has been leading Georgian breakaway region for several months.
