Border Guard Murder Suspect and His Accomplice Arrested

(Tbilisi, September 11, 2002, Civil Georgia) – Two servicemen of the Georgian Border Guard Department, one suspected in shooting officer of Border Guard Department, and another allegedly his accomplice, were arrested, Georgian law enforcement agencies report on September 11.

On September 8 two servicemen killed the officer with the gunshot at the checkpoint near the border with Daghestan, Russian Federation, eastern Georgia, took three automatic guns and run away.
