CUG Calls the Parties for Cooperation
Pro-governmental Citizens Union of Georgia (CUG) party (State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze is the Chairman of the party) called the political groups for cooperation in order to hold fair elections.
One of the leaders of the CUG Gela Kvaratskhelia stated today that everything must be done to avoid disorders during the elections. Parliamentary elections are scheduled for 2003.
Several leading opposition parties have also initiated cooperation recently to oppose as they say “criminal policy of the government.”
