Parliamentary Special Session to Discuss Draft Budget

(Tbilisi, December 25, 2002. Civil Georgia) -A special Parliamentary special today tries to start reviewing the draft 2003 budget.

Last week, the Parliament failed to discuss the draft budget, as the pro-Presidential factions boycotted the sessions.

The United Democrats opposition faction demanded today to discuss the draft law on minimal salaries, which considers increase of the minimal salary to the subsistence level.

The pro-governmental Parliamentary factions call this proposal a “populist” move.
