Two Blasts in Russia Cut Off Gas Supply to Georgia

(Tbilisi, January 14, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Two explosions occurred today at the gas pipeline in Russia’s North Ossetia. The Russian gas is delivered to Georgia with the pipeline.

Russian media sources report quoting Russian officials that the leak of gas was the reason of explosions. No fatalities reported.

The gas supply to Georgia is suspended because of the explosions.
