Shevardnadze Meets Putin

(Tbilisi. March 6, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze meets his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Russia?s city of Sochi at Black Sea coast on March 6-7.

Georgian President said on March 3 that the Abkhazian conflict settlement would be the top issue discussed during the meeting.

Shevardnadze also said that he does not expect ?a great success and breakthrough in solving disagreements between Russia and Georgia from this meeting.?
