(Tbilisi. March 17, 2003. Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze convened Parliamentary special session on March 18.
Last week Parliament failed to discuss several vital issues, like US-Georgian military agreement, draft of the Tax Code, because of the heated debates over the increase of the minimal salary issue.
The latter is also scheduled to be discussed at the Parliamentary special session. The pro-governmental factions try to declare the law on increase of minimal salary to the subsistence level, adopted by the Parliament on February 28 as invalid.
