Ministry Says No Iraqi Refugees in Georgia
(Tbilisi. March 26, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Ministry for Refugees and Accommodation (MRA) denied today a statement by MP Jemal Gogitidze on presence of dozens of Iraqi refugees in Kaspi district, central Georgia.
“There are no refugees from Iraq in Georgia,” Deputy Minister of Refugees and Accommodation Gaioz Nozadze told Civil Georgia on March 26.
Georgian President on March 24 said influx of refugees from Iraq to Georgia is less likely.
