Anadarko Hopeful for Georgian Black Sea Offshore Oil Perspectives
(Tbilisi. April 10, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Vice President of the US company Anadarko Petroleum Corporation James Emme, which manages all of the company’s oil and gas exploration activities met Georgian President Shevardnadze today in Tbilisi.
In 2000 Anadarko signed a production-sharing contract with Georgia, becoming the first western company to conduct an offshore oil exploration program in the Georgian Black Sea.
James Emme said after the meeting with the Georgian President ?the company has already completed seismic survey of the three blocks in the Black Sea offshore, which is under evaluation currently.?
Anadarko?s top executive said that the Georgian Black Sea offshore seems to be rich with oil.
