Parliament Phones Disconnected for Nonpayment of Bills

(Tbilisi. April 15, 2003. Civil Georgia) – The Georgian Parliament’s telephones were disconnected today because of the nonpayment of bills.

This is the second case of disconnecting the legislative body?s phones in last couple of months.

In late February the Finance Ministry agreed to pay debt of 80.000 Lari (USD 36.000), but failed, thus the telephones in the Parliament are disconnected again.
