United Democrats Want Burjanadze to Lead Opposition
(Tbilisi. April 29, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Chairman of the United Democrats Parliamentary faction Giorgi Baramidze told the reporters today that they want Nino Burjanadze, Parliamentary Chairperson to be the leader of the united opposition.
Earlier leader of the United Democrats Zurab Zhvania said that the party holds consultations with Nino Burjanadze, ?which is high-profile and popular politician,? regarding the cooperation on the eve of the upcoming Parliamentary elections.
Nino Burjanadze said on April 21 that she does not see herself ?together with the pro-Presidential election alliance,? and confirmed that she holds talks with the several opposition parties on cooperation.
