Russian Firms Observe Abkhaz Tourist Sites

(Tbilisi. May 1, 2003. Civil Georgia) – 35 representatives of the Russian tourist industry visit Georgia’s breakaway province of Abkhazia on April 30-May 4 to study the tourist sites of the breakaway region, according to the Abkhaz official new agency Apsni-Press

Georgian authorities constantly express protest regarding the Russian companies’ activity in its breakaway region.

Early this year Georgia warned that any acts that involve foreign citizens acquiring immovable property in Georgia’s breakaway region of Abkhazia will be declared as illegal.
