MPs Endorse Georgia’s Participation in Iraqi Rehabilitation

(Tbilisi, May 7, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Parliament adopted today resolution on Georgia’s Participation in Iraqi Post-War Rehabilitation.

The resolution, which was proposed by the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, requests the executive government to work out the proposals how Georgia might provide Iraq with humanitarian assistance.

Georgian MPs suppose that Georgia might provide Iraq with water, doctors and engineers.

Georgian Parliament also expressed support towards the stability and territorial integrity of Iraq.
