Former Partisan Leader Dismisses Rumors about Partisans’ Mobilization
(Tbilisi, May 12, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Former leader of the “Forest Brotherhood” partisan movement and current deputy head of the Gali District Administration David Shengelia dismissed rumors, claiming that the Georgian partisans are mobilizing to leave the forests and engage in combat with the Abkhazian separatists.
“I won’t rule out that this might be a provocation by the certain forces, since this information is not true. The partisans have not declared any kind of mobilization” – David Shengelia said, calling all partisans not to follow any of such provocations.
