Talks Resume on Georgian-Russian Framework Agreement

(Tbilisi, May 27, 2003. Civil Georgia) Delegation of Russian experts, headed by Ambassador at Large Lev Mironov, arrived to Tbilisi today.

The experts will continue talks with the Georgian colleagues on the Framework Agreement between Georgia and Russia.

The last round of negotiations was held in August 2002. Humanitarian and economic provisions of the agreement were agreed upon last year. The sides will have to negotiate political and military relations issues.

The Georgian side is represented by the Special Affairs Minister Malkhaz Kakabadze.
