CIS Observers to be Sent to Elections in Georgia, Azerbaijan

(Tbilisi, May 31 2003, Civil Georgia) During the informal summit of the CIS leaders in St.-Petersburg yesterday, the Presidents decided to send observers to the presidential elections in Azerbaijan and the parliamentary elections in Georgia, Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma told the reporters. He said the participants of the summit were reported about the observers’ activities during the presidential elections in Armenia. 

The summit was held simultaneously with the festivities dedicated to the 300th anniversary of  St.-Petersburg.
