Georgian Defense Minister visiting Brussels
(Tbilisi, June 12 2003, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Defense Minister David Tevzadze left for Brussels today to take part in the meeting of the heads of Armed Forces of the NATO member and partner states, which is held on June 12-14.
“The visit is of great importance, since the Defense Ministers of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Georgia will sign a quadrilateral document, implying military cooperation and sharing of experience within 2003-2004 years. A plan of activities for introduction of civil control and security mechanisms will also be elaborated,” Deputy Defense Minister Gela Bezhuashvili told Civil Georgia today.
He said the cooperation would be implemented under the Partnership for Peace Program.
