Labor Party Leader Discussed Elections with Western Diplomats

(Tbilisi, June 16 2003, Civil Georgia) – The current political situation in Georgia and the upcoming Parliamentary elections were discussed at a June 16 meeting between the leader of the opposition Labor Party Shalva Natelashvili and Czech Ambassador to Georgia Jiri Nekvasil.

According to the Labor Party?s press service the Czech Ambassador said that the upcoming Parliamentary elections, scheduled for November 2 would be of crucial importance for the country.

Later on June 16 the Labor Party Leader met with British Ambassador Deborah Barnes-Jones to discuss the upcoming elections.
