Sukhumi Condemns Georgian Minister’s Threats
(Tbilisi, June 24, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Abkhaz de facto Vice President and Foreign Minister issued a statement on June 23 condemning Georgian Security Minister’s statement that the plan is drafted for a military operation in Abkhazia.
Speaking to the Parliament Georgian Security Minister Valeri Khaburdzania said on June 20 that the use of force is considered as a last resort to restore Georgia’s territorial integrity.
According to the Abkhaz news agency Apsnipress Vice President of unrecognized Abkhaz Republic Valeri Arshba in his statement reaffirmed Abkhazia’s commitment to resolving the conflict peacefully.
