Alleged ID Forger Detained

(Tbilisi, July 26, 2003, Civil Georgia) – The Georgian Security Ministry detained today a Georgian citizen Roman Ubiria on forgery charges.

According to the Secuirty Ministry he is accused of manufacturing false identification documents of the employees of the State Chancellery’s Secret Service and other governmental structures with the signatures of various high rank officials, including that of Parliamentary Chairperson.

The Security Ministry’s press center reports that owners of such documents have the right to carry weapons and even to enter secret objects.
