Burjanadze, Zhvania Officially Presented New Election Bloc

(Tbilisi, August 21, 2003, Civil Georgia) – A new election alliance, “Burjanadze – Democrats”, formed by Zurab Zhvania’s United Democrats opposition party and Parliamentary Chairperson, Nino Burjanadze, was officially presented at the Tbilisi Sheraton Metechi Palace today.

“We need to win the elections in order to solve particular problems the country is facing,” Nino Burjanadze said.

Representatives from other political parties were not invited to the !
presentation.
On August 22 Nino Burjandze and Zurab Zhvania will visit the western Georgian town of Zudgidi, where they will start their pre-election campaign.
