Burjanadze to Run for MP in Kutaisi Constituency

(Tbilisi, September 2, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Nino Burjanadze, Parliamentary Chairperson and leader of the election bloc Burjanadze-Democrats, intends to run for MP in her hometown of Kutaisi in western Georgia.

“I know Kutaisi very well and I know the problems of the residents of this city. I hope Kutaisi will support me,” Nino Burjanadze told reporters on September 1.

On September 2 Nino Burjanadze will visit the eastern Georgian region of Kakheti as part of her election campaign.
