Two Opposition Parties Unite
(Tbilisi, September 5, 2003, Civil Georgia) – The Neo-Liberal Party, led by Revaz Shavishvili and Vakhtang Khmaladze, announced today that it joins the New Rights opposition party.
“This move aims at creation of a large rightist movement in Georgia,” leader of the New Rights Party Davit Gamkrelidze said at a news briefing on September 5.
The Neo-Liberals initially held consultations over reunification with the Burjanadze-Democrats election bloc, however failed to agree.
