Security Ministry Publicized Allegations on Burjanadze
Georgian State Security Ministry displayed on its official web site documents delivered, to the Ministry by spokesperson of the presidential-backed election bloc For New Georgia Irina Sarishvili-Chanturia, regarding alleged ?ties between Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze and Russian secret services.?
There are two documents, one in Georgian and another in Russian, displayed on the Security Ministry?s web site, which are the letters, whose authors and receivers are unknown. Comments of the unknown person are enclosed to the Georgian version of the letter.
The authors of the letters give recommendations to Nino Burjanadze about pre-election campaigning.
Irina Sarishvili-Chanturia claimed that Nino Burjanadze, who is the leader of the Burjanadze-Democrats election bloc, is cooperating with the Russian PR groups and has ties with the Russian secret services.
?These so called documents are unprofessionally drafted. This is a stupid mean of black-PR campaign against Nino Burjanadze,? Giorgi Gabashvili of Burjanadze-Democrats election bloc told reporters.
The State Security Minister said on October 13 that at least one week is needed to identify the source and authors of the documents.
