CEC Chairman Urged President for Delaying Locals

(Tbilisi, June 2, Civil Georgia) – Chairman of the Central Election Commission Jumber Lominadze told the reporters today that he hold consultation with President Shevardnadze on June 1 for three times.

“It was, I would say, very sharp discussions. I urged President to postpone elections because I new that numerous violations would exist,” Jumber Lominadze said.

Election was not held in Rustavi, town in Kvemo Kartli region because the ballots were stolen.
