Shevardnadze Hopes Elections will Have a Peaceful End

(Tbilisi, June 2, Civil Georgia) – “Pre-election process was somehow painful, but I hope elections will be held peacefully,” President Shevardnadze stated while voting today.

Despite the President’s hope elections will be canceled in Rustavi town and in several other constituencies of Georgia because of the total violations and mass at the election districts. 

It is unknown whom the President voted for.
