U.S. Ambassador Discussed Elections with State Minister

U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Richard Miles met today with State Minister and leader of the pro-presidential election bloc For New Georgia Avtandil Jorbenadze.

The issues of the November 2 parliamentary elections and the pre-election processes were discussed during the meeting.

The U.S. Ambassador is rather optimistic regarding the upcoming elections, hoping that the elections will be held in a peaceful and democratic atmosphere. 

“I have held meetings with the leaders of the political parties. We have discussed elections and possible events on the day of elections and afterwards. I hope the elections will be fair and free,” Richard Miles said after his meeting with Avtandil Jornebadze on October 31.
