Labor Party Wants to Postpone Elections in Khobi Constituency

Opposition Labor Party demanded today to postpone November 2 parliamentary elections in Khobi provincial constituency in western Georgia.

The Labor Party claims that there are mass inaccuracies in the voter lists of Khobi constituency.

The MP candidates in the Rustavi single-mandate constituency, near Tbilisi, also demanded on October 31 to postpone the parliamentary elections in Rustavi due to mass inaccuracies in voter lists.

However President Shevardnadze rejected the demand saying that “elections should be held on November 2, as scheduled.”
