Opposition Marches

More than 20 thousand people gathered at the Tbilisi Municipality protesting against the government and President Shevardnadze, accusing them of manipulating November 2 parliamentary elections.

Leaders of the National Movement and the Burjanadze-Democrats opposition parties participate in the protest rally.

Zurab Zhvania of the Burjanadze-Democrats said that the opposition’s main goal would be “to push Shevardnadze out of the Georgian [political] system.”
