Shevardnadze Meets Opposition Leaders

At the moment President Shevardnadze is holding talks with Mikheil Saakashvili, Nino Burjanadze and Zurab Zhvania, the opposition leaders.

The opposition demands Shevardnadze resignation and holding of the new parliamentary elections.

Earlier today Eduard Shevardnadze offered the opposition leaders to hold meeting in the State Chancellery, however the opposition refused to hold talks in the President’s office.

The meeting is taking place at the Krtsanisi Governmental Residence.
