Defense Minister Says Georgia Unlikely to Join NATO Before 2010
Georgian Defense Minister David Tevzadze said in Brussels on 2 December that his country is unlikely to join NATO before the end of this decade, Reuters reported.
Tevzadze predicted that it will take up to 10 years to carry out the required military reforms and sufficiently improve the country’s economy.
Davit Tevzadze participated in the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council of the Defense Ministers session in Brussels.
