Head of Abkhaz Government-in-Exile to Resign

Head of Tbilisi-based Abkhaz government-in-exile Tamaz Nadareishvili announced after the Abkhazian Supreme Council session late on January 13 that he would resign.

Nadareishvili told reporters that he would file resignation after meeting with President-elect Mikheil Saakashvili.

Recently one part of internally displaced persons from Abkhazia launched a campaign to force Nadareishvili to resign.

The Abkhaz side, in its recent proposal to the Georgia’s new leadership, demanded to cancel the Tbilisi-based Abkhaz government-in-exile.
