EU Allocates Ђ28 million to Assist Georgia

Georgian government and European Commission Delegation signed on January 13 agreement, through which the EU would allocate Ђ28 million to assist Georgia in 2004-2006.

This assistance is the part of the EU’s technical assistance programme (Tacis), which will cover legal and administrative reforms, healthcare sector and rehabilitation programme in post conflict zones.

“As it was reiterated by the current government, strengthening Georgia’s partnership with the EU remains one of the main priorities of Georgia’s foreign policy and is aimed at gradual deepening of integration with the EU,” Georgia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili said after signing the agreement.
