New Secretary of National Security Council Appointed

President Saakashvili signed a decree on January 27 on appointment of his close ally Vano Merabishvili, who is the member of the National Movement party, as the Secretary of the National Security Council.

On the very first day of entering the office Vano Merabishvili dismissed his deputies.

In one of his public speeches Mikheil Saakashvili underline necessity of reforming and decreasing staff of the National Security Council.
