Parliament’s Committee Probes Alleged Corruption in MoD

Tevzadze is Georgia’s last military Defense Minister, as the new one will be a civilian. According to the unofficial reports Tevzadze’s former deputy Gela Bezhuashvili will be nominated for the post.

The parliamentary committee for defense and security, which investigates the alleged misuse of foreign aid and grants in the Ministry of Defense (MoD), summoned today acting Defense Minister Davit Tevzadze.
 
Davit Tevzadze refrained from commenting on the issue, however said “everyone, who is guilty, should be punished.”
 
The parliamentary Committee for Defense and Security has already handed over the documents to the General Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
