Two Killed in Conflict Zone

Two ethnic Georgians were killed in a Georgian village of Tamarasheni in the South Ossetian conflict zone late on February 21.

The local population of Tamarasheni protested all night long demanding punishment of attackers.

Russian peacekeeping troops deployed in the conflict zone are on high alert.

Georgian side claims that criminal gangs are operating in breakaway South Ossetia and demands the unrecognized republic to curb their activity in the conflict zone.
