Ex-State TV Chief Re-Appointed

Zaza Shengelia was today re-appointed as Chairman of the State TV and Radio Corporation.

Irakli Chubinishvili, head of the President’s Administration, told reporters that a relevant document has already been signed by the President. 

Zaza Shengelia quitted the post on November 19, just before the bloodless revolution. He resigned in the wake of ex-President Shevardnadze’s criticism towards the state television Channel One.
