Turkish, Georgian Foreign Ministers Pledge Cooperation

Georgian and Turkish Foreign Ministers reiterated after talks in Ankara on February 17 that importance of Turkish-Georgian relations in regard to stability and security of the region.

“Turkey and Georgia will maintain their cooperation to settle stability in the region,” Anadolu news agency reports quoting the Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul.

Abdullah Gul said that he discussed with his Georgia counterpart issues of commercial relations, “efforts to increase mutual investments.

The Turkish Foreign Minister reiterated that Turkey supports Georgia’s territorial integrity.

Georgian Foreign Minister Tedo Japaridze stressed that all bilateral issues were taken up at the meeting, and they affirmed that there was not any political problem between the two countries.
