Zhvania Excludes Saakashvili’s Ally from Party-List

Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania said today that leader of the Republican Party Davit Berdzenishvili, who is President Saakashvili’s ally, will not be in ruling coalition’s party-list of MP candidates to run for March 28 elections.

Davit Berdzenishvili has recently criticized Prime Minister and said “Zhvania is a master of intrigues.”

“It would be inadmissible to include a person, I mean Davit Berdzenishvili, in the list [of MP candidates] after this statement,” Zurab Zhvania told reporters today.

Davit Berdzenishvili’s Republican Party was in the bloc with the National Movement.
