Burjanadze to Meet Abashidze

Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze told reporters on March 16 after the meeting with President Saakashvili that she intends to visit Batumi and hold talks with Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze on March 17.

Nino Burjanadze also said that confrontation between Batumi and Tbilisi should be solved by peaceful means.

Meanwhile, reports say that Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov, who is in Batumi at the moment, intends to arrive in Tbilisi to hold talks with Georgia’s central authorities.
