CoE Envoy Visits Batumi

Plamen Nikolov, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) to Georgia, is visiting Adjarian capital Batumi on March 18.

Before departure to the Autonomous Republic’s capital Plamen Nikolov told reporters that CoE Secretary General Walter Schwimmer held phone conversations with President Saakashvili and Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze.

CoE envoy also said that Aslan Abashidze agreed to host CoE election mission in Adjara to monitor pre-election situation in the troubled region.
