Saakashvili Calls on Adjarian Leader for Accepting New Rules

President Saakashvili called on the Adjarian leadership once again for respecting human rights and accepting “new rules of the game.”

“Further tension between Tbilisi and Batumi would threaten country’s economy,” he said at the government’s meeting on April 5. 
 
“We will not tolerate violations of human rights in Adjara. The Adjarian leadership still has a chance to improve the situation and to accept new rules of the game,” President Saakashvili added.
