PM Informed President over Batumi Talks

Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and Secretary of the National Security Council Vano Merabishvili met President Saakashvili after their arrival from the Adjarian capital Batumi, where they held talks with Head of the Adjarian Autonomy Aslan Abashidze on April 13.

?We have informed the President regarding the talks with Aslan Abashidze. We will discuss detailed plan of action regarding the further steps tomorrow [April 14],? Zurab Zhvania told reporters.

The Prime Minister and Secretary of the National Security Council left Batumi on April 13 empty-handed, as Abashidze refused to disarm his paramilitary forces.
