Adjarian Deputy Interior Minister Defies Abashidze

Anzor Dumbadze, Deputy Interior Minister and Chief of the Ecological Police of Adjarian Autonym, left Batumi and arrived in Tbilisi on May 1.
 
He expressed support to the central authorities and refused to obey Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze.
 
Secretary of the National Security Chief Vano Merabishvili said on April 30 that Aslan Abashidze’s regime is “falling apart.”
