Protesters Denied Entry to Adjara

Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze’s security forced, deployed at Choloki administrative border, fired over heads of protesters and barred them from entering into the Adjarian Autonomy.

A group of protesters headed towards Adjara to join a demonstration in Batumi from Tbilisi last night.

The Georgian televisions broadcasted footage of masked men firing over heads of protesters as they approached the blown up bridge over Choloki river, linking Adjara with the rest of Georgia.
