Rail Link Restored in Adjara
According to the Georgian Railway Company the rail link between Adjara Autonomous Republic and the rest of Georgia was restored on May 6.
The rail link with Adjara was disrupted on May 2 after Aslan Abashidze’s authorities blew up the bridges and severed railway, linking the region with the rest of Georgia.
Oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan is supplied to Batumi oil terminal by rail from Azerbaijani capital Baku. The supply of oil has also been restored.
