Tbilisi Seeks Closer Ties with Breakaway South Ossetia
President Saakashvili told reporters on June 1 that the Georgian government has already launched activities aiming to boost ties with its breakaway region of South Ossetian.
?We have already started activities over restoration of the railway link between Tskhinvali [capital of the self-styled South Ossetian Republic] and the rest of Georgia,? the President said.
?In a few days, special centers will be opened in Tskhinvali were the local population will be able to receive pensions. These centers will be set up only in Tskhinvali, initially,? Mikheil Saakashvili added.
